I enjoy the feeling of being the protector
Even if only as someone you can depend on to be strong
Protecting you from feelings
I have always been there for you

But even Superman fails sometimes
What will happen when I encounter my kryptonite?
Will I fall from grace?
In your eyes, will I become no better than Clark Kent?
Nice guy, but weak and not reliable
Will I still be your Superman?

Being looked up to means that we are expected to live in a certain way, react in a certain way. When we fail, the pedestal crumbles. Hopefully people understand that the person is human and a fallible creature.
