Dream of Vengeance

I had a dream
that I was falling
falling down into the black abyss
but no one would save me

so I died

and, once dead,
vowed vengeance

a ghost of hunters stalks in my place
a demon resides in my steel-shrouded soul
blood twists its way down the winding tendons
and falls from my sharp slicing claws to the floor

I had a dream
that I was dying
dying from a wound that had pierced my heart
while you looked on
laughing

so I died

and never forgot that day
vowing vengeance

Death would taste sweet after thwarted love and trust,
bitter tastes form where once flowed nectar
no rest for the weary
and the steel at heart need none

I had a dream
that I was fighting
fighting for my life against the shadows
you stood by
tossing the key that chained me in my prison

so I died
vowing vengeance

Juunishi's wonder of steel,
the power of sheer might
and the perfect human
the perfect demon
the perfect storm
stalks the earth in me

I vowed vengeance
as the blood ran into my eyes

so you died


and I was complete...

I think I will end up compiling a journal by Siena in which I put all the dark poems from her perspective...

    Thank you so much for your entry into my contest, your talent and hard work are very much appreciated. I love this poem, it cut to the very heart so taht each word was like a dagger, slicing away. The repetitive lines went so well with it, cudos to you and a brilliant choice for this contest.     Wow! This is amazing. "Death would taste sweet after thwarted love and trust,
    bitter tastes from where once flowed nectar..." Really cool descriptions, I almost felt like I was the one narrating this poem. One question though: Who's Juunishi?? Applause!!
