Whenever we see a person
A person who looks death in the eye with pain
We take them to a shelter where those who are injured can heal
A shelter where those who are broken can mend
We treat them as if they were our beloved ones
And do everything we can to save them from their suffering
Within every patients' eye
We see a spark of hope glistening
Praying that they will be able to get throught this
Even though chances of survival are low
As the hours still go by
We still continue to work no matter what the conditions are
For we never give up no matter what life throws at us
With the help of the funds sent in from around the world
Our dream still lives on
Our dream of a world where there is less suffering and more joy
A world where everyone can live without disease and illness
A world where pain is meaningless
We struggle through the challenges we face everyday
We face the good times and the bad times
We take on the risks that we are given
We fight for what we believe in
We are the healers of the broken
We are the Red Cross

The healers of the broken. That is quite a vivid description. Thanks for sharing it in a way that gives the reader some things to think on. It isn't simply a description but more of an inside look.
Best of luck in the contest. -

This is a well written piece expressing what that Red Cross truly stands for. Something some have forgotten and many do not even know.
Well written with a good flow.
Let the ink flow and your fingers dance
