A gentle man

Pause

Remember John Horswill

of Birch Heys Farm.

Think of him in springtime

fighting to save the world.

Think of him in summer fruitfulness

Think of him in autumn

harvest home and happy.

Think of him in winter

quietly on his way.

Oh. I'm so sorry to hear about your wife's father dying. That is always so hard when you lose a parent. I think that this is a great tribute to him though! I obviously don't know him but I got such a good picture of a man that lived his life and spread love where ever he could, that could also appreciate nature and life in all forms. He sounded like he was a really wonderful person.

Oh it is so gentle and beautiful -- I hope you have had the opportunity to read it at services honoring his memory.

But it is one of those ending poems that a reader would want to read over and over... even though I don't know him.

Think of him in winter quietly on his way .. yes.

Definitely a favorite by you. And I hope the sadness of his parting is soon replaced by smiles of wonderful remembrances.

    Lisa
