A Proposal

A man walked into work one day,
And saw a curious thing...
For on his desk, addressed to him,
Was a round, gold wedding ring.

Aghast with shock he picked it up
And down fluttered a note.
Unfolding it with trembling hands,
He read what she had wrote.

"We've been in love for many years,
But now I think it's time,
For me to ask a daring thing:
My dear, will you be mine?"

Very nice! I told you not to tell everyone about leaving that ring on my desk, but I suppose I'll let it slide...this time.

    Great write, gorgeous.

This was quite a sweet poem about proposal. The rhyme emphasised the upbeat tone of the poem. It was touhcing, thanks for entering.
