Ill-Equipped

I sit in English lectures and hear
translations of books into languages
that I could never learn, and I can't help
but feel like a big fish, who should've retired
in the pond by my dear high school
where I was expected to only enjoy the text
and remember plots

I've always had a soft spot for short, expressive poems. Feeling overwhelmed and detached is the best way (for me at least) to harvest a new perspective.

I liked this. It's very open, but not aimless.

This is the kind of poem I like. Simple, comprehensible, but still full of imagery that makes it engaging. Great job.

LOL, this reminds me of my college Shakespeare course, I thought I was doomed. I think that you should consider adding a comma after the word School in the third to the last line. Other than that, a good piece.
