Oh mighty oak, you do bring joy to many.
The children that have played in your shade,
Hide and go seek and catch the leader.
The lovers who have lounged beneath your canopy,
Slumbering on each others laps in luxury.
The picnics that have been laid at your feet,
On red gingham tablecloths covered with food.
Oh mighty oak, you do bring joy to so many.

This is beautiful.

interesting, consistent meter, maybe a little wordy, but lovely none-the-less...
'slumbering on each others laps in luxury'
loved that line
