Promise me
our dreams are strong
like the oak dreaming tree
Standing tall above the world
looking down on us
Promise it won't burn
collapsing everything we have
Don't let me cast hopes
into the waters of time
finding refuge on driftwood
Promise me, you'll anchor me
in your soul, with roots of gold
Promise me
that our oak dreaming tree
will live on forever

You are in love.
There is beauty in this poem and an innocence that comes with the first true love. An abundance of emotion and simplicity all the while feeling overwhelmed and wanting to be grounded like the old oak tree. -
I love the picture and the poem. The flow seems almost lyrical- I enjoyed that. Good luck-

This was such a great poem. It had such a lovely flow to it and was so beautifully written. "finding refuge on driftwood". That line was so powerful. This really was great. Well done.

I like this line:
"finding refuge on driftwood"
very pretty.
Though right here:
Promise me, you'll anchor me
It sounds funny saying me two times...
maybe "Promise me, you'll be my achor."
Just a suggestion though!
Good job!
peace to all ~flight
