There stands a girl once innocent
now she's aged without sentiment
deep down inside she wants to do whats right
and on the other hand she wants to be needed
she's spiraling downward into the night
where she lays
CHORUS
She tried to fight
slowly giving up inside
wanting love still she needs to find
the place within where she was
when she had hope, outside the night
where she lays now
she must stand on solid ground
There was a twinkle in her eye
now its slowly fading with each sigh
desiring to be a better person than she is
while still holding on to her deepest sin
needing strength to get through
still she makes an excuse
CHORUS
The girl of innocents
now a woman black and cold
wanting only to please the flesh she holds
desiring that she will be the one she was called to be
but first she has to realize not on here own
can she believe
CHORUS
