I am not a racist all the time. Your probably thinking well your either racist or your not. well just think of a time that you thought of a person being a bad person because of their color. and then your son, or duaghter, friend, or even a relative talks the same way and you get on to them. Well you just turned into a hypocrit. In my Logic class i have to research a topic that happens to be a little difficult for me. Reparation of Slavery has many pros and cons and yet i have not come up with anything to say. i have read alot of articles saying that we should pay back the ancestors of the slaves for the hardship they went through. And if we don't pay them that will make the white americans racists.
well i find that really stupid because Dr. King didnt stand up for blacks and tell them to act like victims for their ancestors. he stood up for what is right and just for the present not the past. and i think alot of black people forget that. yes there is alot of bad black people but on the same note there is alot of bad white people. and what we have to do is make sure we know the that. we are equal in that sense. arent we?
People who call out rascism should really memorize the word and content of the word. research the word and then think about it. maybe more people will stop using it in the wrong way.
do i think we should repremand the past? I think we have. We have to live with the guilt of that history but at the same time we have to move on. We have to start teaching our kids that its not ok to feel like a victim for our ancestors or have to pay people for something that we werent alive for. its time to wake up live in the present and let go of the past. because if you dont let go, your giving into racisim yourself. Is that what your children to learn?
