: to be a good poet

to be a good poet, words naturally should fall into
verses, whether organization or sense is in any way
present, whether or not you can even see your hand
writing/typing/creating all over the page. i've felt
many times that the alphabet is each day reborn,
restructured every time a word is written. meaning
is a plaything-- spelling is a toy. knowledge, as always,
comes in handy (in some ways) but as long as art
is thought through the heart, a small decline of
stability could never delay the start.

to be a good poet, shame must be lost upon the
important gain of Perspective. live as you live, as
she lives as she lives, realizing this gives an
advantage. it opens all doors that once might've
been locked, steals all corners that held things
you might've forgotten. space is not a scary thing,
it's elbow room, it's air to sing.

to be a good poet, question marks must be
assumed following every word, given that every
word is a question against the sentence which
surrounds it. is this right? does this work? the
word that the pencil licks is what always
sticks, is what has been looked for all along.
yet the story may not be strong, you might
have been wrong. we aren't looking for truth in
art, no one is, has ever.

to be a good poet, you must never truly know what
exactly it is you're trying to say. trust is a must
in the act that seems so solitary, yet never is.
the words fed off the idea of never being read, yet now
(by being a good poet) they can fly always from page
to page, & never die, & never age.

Please tell me what you think
