My lunatique, my comrade
Interesting things happen
During a full moon.
Pagan Mother Goddess
Is in her full bloom
And pregnant with god of hunt.
Women gather in this lunar cycle
To produce energy
That is released in the world
Thus most fertile
on a full moon.
We favor the claim
That during a lunar cycle
Levels and brain function
May change
And physiology and desire
Due to a postulated
Alteration in hormones;
Moods
Are subjected to
gravitational pull.
During a full moon
some people see things
That the rest of us
ordinarily don’t see.
It’s not hard to see
That in this lunar cycle
You grieve glitter
Under the glare
And don’t need all of death
To earn a place
among the erudite.
