In Your Home

I stumbled through your door,
My face connecting with the floor.
I know it was only your pity,
That stopped you casting me back to the city.

You had no real idea,
While you wiped away my tear.
Of the trouble I would cause,
That I'd bring in through your doors.

Just leave me here alone,
Shut me out your home.
'Cause I just endanger you,
While I pull the carcass through.

You wont leave me to die,
You hate to see me cry.
Don't hold my head up high,
Don't listen to my lie!

You'll never admit it to me,
But I know my self-destruction hurts.
Please cast out my broken shell,
And find someone who still works.

Because I sold my soul for time,
Which I squandered way too fast.
And now you spend so much on me,
Don't think either of us will last.

Just leave me here alone,
Shut me out your home.
'Cause I just endanger you,
While I pull the carcass through.

You wont leave me to die,
You hate to see me cry.
Don't hold my head up high,
Don't listen to my lie!

Before you let me go,
I just wanted you to know.
That this wasn't all a waste,
For now I've had a taste.

Of what's it like to be cared,
I'm no longer laying scared.
I can let my breathing cease,
And leave this world in peace.

I'm no longer alone,
I'm making my way home.
It's all been down to you,
When you pulled my carcass through.

I'm not afraid to die,
I'm not afraid to cry.
Now I hold my head up high,
Because you listened to my lie.
