~~ Angel Veils~~

Missing image
One big huge glorious star
Surrounded by thousands of smaller ones
Gathered with heaven in the sky
As heaven chose the world for a bride~

The angels looked on from paradise
As the world was being prepared
Clouds adorned and dressed her shoulders
In a large veil of snow so white
To become heaven's bride that night~

The gates of paradise were opened to the world
As she joined heaven's side
A jealous angel struck out at the world
Heaven closed the gates to paradise~

In sorrow the world went out far
To take her place among the stars
She now awaits for "Heavens Son"
To come and take her children home
~

I love the unique way you told the story of creation and mankind anticipating Jesus' second coming...beautifully done, Sis! Joe summed your poem up nicely, I think!

This poem and the story it tells is an amazing one, and the picture you chose, I love that picture, I mean that has to be one of the most beautiful images I have seen posted at this site, and what is even more amazing, you completely did that beautiful image justice with your words Susan, I just loved this, the entire story of the world, awaiting the Son to return and take us all home, so once again we will be allowed to wander the heavens, you know isn't it funny, man has this desire to wander and wonder, and we have this amazing universe God created for us to do that in, with His Spirit and angels to all guide us on our way, I think you are one of those angels Susan, and you may not even know it yet, but I do thank you so much for this spiritual and absolutely amazingly beautiful poem, I really do thank you, I needed to see "This" poem, it spoke to me quite deeply sweety,
God bless and many kind regards hugs and smiles nad things to brung your heart joy,
    Sincerely,
    joe

I love the entire poem, not sure about the last stanza I think you could do without it and perhaps your message would be even more powerful. You can take it of leave it. All and all it is simply mezmerizing. I love that picture too!

This is a nice philosophical/poetic mix. Much to my liking. Hope all is well with you. Me, I need to get ready for work (yuck-12-8 AM). But I can use the computer at work. It is just much slower than mine. Later, alligator. ET

I'm a fiend for images, and this one got it for me:
"Clouds adorned and dressed her shoulders" Just excellent!

How lovely. It must have been personal. It gave me mixed messages. One of sorrow, another of wisdom in the midst of joy!
Very well written! Thank you for sharing. CookieZeal

It makes me think of that scripture in, what is it, Revolation... ? Can't even think of it, but it put the same imagery in my head. Powerful write.

A jealous angel struck out at the world
Heaven closed the gates to paradise~ ... sigh, and so we all suffer today.

Susan , I do not know why you doubt this poem...it is beautiful { a different way to look at creation } and the picture with it fits so well and is breath taking . In line 7 I think you meant to say " dressed " rather then " dresses " as the rest is in the past tense ....
Hope you are better with that stomach virus

It's like an explosion of the One, fragmenting and forgetting.
There is a strange kind of limbo in the energy and imagery, a waiting for an awakening, yet the world doesn't know that it waits in vane for someone or something else to take the first step into Unity. The poem leaves me edgy, not peaceful, because there have been those who have taken that step where the masses dare not follow. As long as others wait for that Massiah, and take no action of their own to help their fellow human, then there will never be a homecoming or salvation.
