I hug a stranger in the night
he lets my tears stain his T-shirt
as he holds me tight
I don't know who he is and I don't know why I'm crying
but some how I feel safe in his arms
like he's saving me from dying
his voice muffled in my ear
a sweet southern twang I've heard before
telling me he'll be my super hero
and when I need him he'll appear
telling me it's okay
I still stand with my head on his chest
when finally my tears subside and my sobs calm
I feel better now that I have confessed
my fears have evaporated with out even saying a word
He knows, this stranger in the night
some how he can see the real me
he holds me and makes everything seem alright
his strong arms are my safe haven
his reasuring voice in my ear makes my heat sing
I love the feal of his cheek on mine, his perfect but unshaven
I miss this stranger in the night every second we are apart
I can't understand his world; I wish I could
but he has captured my heart
wheather he lives in my reality
or only in my dreams
each of our meetings end holds an air of finality
but I pray he'll hold me again when dusk falls
he lets my tears stain his T-shirt
as he holds me tight
I don't know who he is and I don't know why I'm crying
but some how I feel safe in his arms
like he's saving me from dying
his voice muffled in my ear
a sweet southern twang I've heard before
telling me he'll be my super hero
and when I need him he'll appear
telling me it's okay

NICELY STROKED!!
the romanticisim application in this piece is creatively unique and refreshing to read as a fellow artist. the flow was ok and transition from stanza to stanza were fine.
