Our two tallest symbols of security.
They seemed they would never fall.
Until one morning in september
The wall began to crumble
In all of the violence
In all of the strife
There was one glimmer of hope
One to save our countries life.
The red cross fought it's way through
saving hundreds injured.
When it was thought
There was nothing we could do.
They kept on and that september morning
Their slogan never held more true
"We're in your neighborhood"
Author notes
I don't know exactly. I just feel that was one big ..devastation that we probably couldn't of gotten through without the red cross.

Yes that is true without the Red Cross then what would have happened? This was moving. I enjoyed it. Thanks for entering and good luck!

You bring back vivid memories to many of us and give us a good reminder of what the Red Cross did to help.
Best of luck in the contest -
Indeed it would have been hard without the Red Cross on that day. They definitely helped. Well done! Thanks for entering

Thank you for entering.
I am sure the Red Cross were amongst the first one to lend a helping hand on that terrible, unforgettable day... the slogan as your last line sums up your theme very well.
Well done

A beautiful tribute to these brave souls who do not think of themselves when others need them more.
Let the ink flow and your fingers dance
