you were first

I cannot belive you've gone away,
you've left me alone on this sad day,
you make me wanna cry,
oh why did you have to go and die?
I will never forget you
not for as long as I live,
I wish you the best in heaven
my poor dear old friend.
I'm sure in heaven you'll make new friends,
and one day we'll meet again,
my pain and sorrow will never end
until we meet in heaven my friend.
until that day
i'll wait on earth,
never forgeting
you were first..

this is not the best poem in the world, but it is about my friend that passed away last year..

    Aww - i absolutely love it! It tugged at my heartstrings so much.
    What a doll to feel that way and write it out so strongly. You say this isn't the best poem in the world but one written so tenderly with such poignance, well, these are the things that make up great poems. Thank you for entering this contest. I really appreciate it.
