Love - But What Is Love?

they say love hurts
and yet love mends broken wounds

so where does that leave me?

am i really in love?
or is love really anything at all?

anymore, according to society
it's a fuck and go kinda thing

love doesn't exist.

true love is just who you prefer to have sex with
over everyone else you've banged in your lifetime.

they say love hurts
and yet it mends your broken heart

kinda contradictory, don't you think?

pardon that one cuss word. hope it don't make you hate it. i am keeping in mind that you are 15, but half the 15 yr olds I know really don't give a rip what comes out of their mouths or anybody else's. this poem is very true, and i'm surprised I hadn't entered it in any contests before this one. hope you like it. if you DQ it, I understand.

    This is a bit harsh, but I suppose that if it is your opinion of Love, then it does fit the contest.

    I totally agree. The cuss words enhances and kinda makes the poem. It's fine and This poem is pretty amazing. You brought out a good point and a good question. I love this! Great job and good luck in the contest!

    Lol, dont worry I still love it. I can relate to this very well. Sometimes love is what keeps ya going, and soemtimes the reality of what that love is kills you. Sometimes youre simply in love with being in love. Lol, I hope that made sense... oh well. I really like it! I'm suprised as well that it hasnt been enetered in other contests! Definately worth reading!!!! Best of luck in all you do!!!

    love is love palain and simple love= pain but yet we want love love hurts yet we let it hurt love is confusing but really love is just love. lol. thought id sum it all up. nice poem

    'it's a fuck and go kinda thing' - ha! That's brilliant! I think there may be a lot of truth in this write, and that's kind of a depressing, and uplifting thought all at the same time... anyway, you're making me think with this one, and I always like that. Great write, keep em coming.

      thank you. it was just how i was feeling at the time; inspired to write something like this. I wanted to write for people who have problems with perverts like me. (i have the problem) again thank you, and i always like it when my readers say my poem made them think.
