What is normal. By whose definition should we compare?
By yours, by mines, which one do you think is fair?

Society dictates to us what’s normal by setting behavioral standards
So let’s honor those standards temporarily, until we judge you
The mind can be a dangerous tool if you let it be
We condition our mind set for war to kill others we don’t know
We judge, convict, punish others according to society that rules
i can't be normal, not according to you

Notes: When we refer to the word normal. Normal is used to describe, and define one’s mental state of mind.( According to society). Today most psychologists have ruled out society’s definition of normal behavior, and substituted it with an understanding of one’s own behavior, any deviation from such (meaning one’s own), are deemed abnormal behavior. if a child walks to school everyday, and one day decides to take the bus. It would be considered a deviation from the norm.). It makes sense to consider that people not the same. what make sense to you and I might not to others. Let’s try to understand the things we cannot before we judge others. And if we cannot understand the things they do, then let’s try our best to understand the ignorance of stupid. may we explain further. Stupid and Ignorance are not the same as most people would have you think. Ignorance is simply a lack of knowledge, Stupid is to say you knew better, yet still continued to do.

I like the idea expressed here, you are off to a good start. I think it needs to be tightened up and less repitition. 14 sylables in one line is very long for poetry, usually 12 is considered the max. E.g., the 1st two lines:
The mind, a dangerous tool if you let it be
People can control you if you set it free
"So why not control it, not it you" sounds....awkward to me, I would suggest you play with your words and find a phrase that rolls off the tongue more easily.
Some of your lines rhyme and some don't, I'm not sure if this is freeverse or not
The last stanza is perfect as is, it picks up the first line and ends with an excellent conclusion.

Sorry,I meant to comment further. It's been over a year. It's important for you to know. It's true my lines dont rhyme. It was meant not to. It's poetry,and not what you would call a poem. poetry dont have to rhyme. poetry is altogether something new. Poetry is a journey that takes you on a trip. It's up to the reader to kept up(smiles). After all....It's a MIND GAME

I'm sorry but i dont write poems, I write what I call poetry,and poetry to me dont have to rhyme. the one that i wrote was not intended to rhyme. instead it was a message one should think about in order to understand it. That is what I do. I write to invoke thought. The mind is a tool that should be kept sharp at all times. The statement made,"So why not control it,and not it you",was a powerful message that needed no explanation. But please do excuse the Why question because it is one that i seldon ask of others. I often say to others never ask the Question WHY, If you are looking for a conclusion to your Question. Try asking a kid why,and find out how long it would take to get a direct answer. -
Thank you for your idea,and every little bit helps. The line was not a mistake,its just the way I think. True some lines rhyme and some don;t. It's poetry,not a poem. The Art Mind Games is awkward,and it was intended to be. you could call it Freeverse if you like. It's just your mind play'n games(smiles),but what's most important here is a message to all. this is a good write and it reminds us that no one can be the same... and normal is just a word use by people to scared to see the truth... that we all need to be treated in our own respect. that the word needs to pay more attention on individualism and stop treating us all a part of society!

Insanity is doing things the same way over and over, and expecting different results, each time. Stupidity is knowing that you are doingthe same things over and over, and expecting different results. Ignorance is just not being aware of what you don't know....ahhhh, I digress.
I liked the author's notes especially. I have been here, where you are with this read, a long time ago.
Casting judgment is the job of your higher power, and when you realize that, then another's opinion/judgment of you doesn't mean shit, to you anymore, and that's very empowering.

Thanks for your comments good or bad. We like them all. The word you used deviance,gives (ref) to the same thing we talk about. however, it is no different in any environment. We give (ref) to misdirection from one's own standards,standard's of behavior. (one's own) not society. We look at environments that can effect one's behavior,but the society of that enviornment sets the norm(the majority)any deviation from that norm would be adnormal.
