"Stormy Thursday Afternoon Thoughts"
Melancholy streets liquify as life passes by
Heaven's sky relinquinshes her cry
Of anguish, rage and fear with every tear
She sings a song of redemption
As we all strive for our dream,
That one moment where it seems not all is lost,
Merely misplaced in a world made of jigsaw pieces,
Some not quite ever fitting into the puzzle
Yet we go on towards any trace of light, which might guide us...
To a path of hope where we decide our fate in this world and mark in history,
That is if we are as individuals are to have one,
Through all these thoughts of weather
Author notes
This was inspired by a thunder storm during a quite wet and rainy afternoon

I can identify with this piece ... it's often in times of immense weather conditions (look at the UK now for instance ...) that our thoughts reflect on God and how miniscule we actually are. It's good to remind ourselves of our insignificance ... we are nothing without our Maker. I read your profile page and it's a really lovely bio' ... what you pen here is full of those earnest thoughts that emerge and resurface at weird and wonderful times, causing us to reflect, as you have done here, on the very purpose of life itself and our part in it. It's an intoxicating poem and one I love to read as you let us [the reader] tumble into your space, your head, and echo your thoughts by asking ourselves are we going on "towards any trace of light, which might guide us ... to a path of hope where we decide our fate in this world and mark in history ..." FABULOUS!
