In my time of need
There you were
Sweet as honey from the bees
As soft as a warm summer breeze
As warm as the sun on a Sunday morning
As new as the growing grass
After the harsh winter of yesterday

My inspiring new friend
You see beauty in even the smallest of things
You see more in me than I see in myself
A wounded spirit
Without imagination
Without inspiration
Without the wonder of life and love

Did God bring you here?
Are you the hope of a once lost emotion
A world of faith, hope, and dreams?
Or are you a messenger from another world
Bringing joy and happiness to all those you
Touch with your spirit

I am happy to have a friend
I have lived in silence for much too long
Your smile warms my heart
And makes my eyes shine bright
Your words give me inspiration
And brings the dawn's day light
