Sleeptime Kisses
I place a kiss upon your lips,
and watch you as you sleep.
This once broken heart of mine,
I give to you to keep.
Electric touches,
and holding hands down an escalator ride.
Moments engraved in memories,
with you by my side.
A lifetime together
is my pledge to you.
Even whilst we were apart,
my love for you grew.
Together we’ve made it
through struggle and strife.
Now to embark on our voyage
of marital life.
I don’t doubt that there will be
some trials and tribulations,
But those we will conquer with
honesty, love and patience.
I love you more than I could
ever try to explain,
True to you and us
I promise to remain.
