Mother of the year can be, of any age or size
Because one can see her, through their own loving eyes
Maybe she baked a special treat, just to see your smile
Or walked along the shady way, with a friend an extra mile
No matter what the problem, Mom is always there
Giving us her answer, that always seemed quite fair
She knows just how to handle Dad, with a smile or a wink
Sometimes he settles for, an Ice cold lemon drink
Most of the time she can give, the Math total we may need
She reads an Essay very well, with good diction and speed
Home EC was always a favorite class, for Mom as you may see
She said one could express themselves, with a good hot cup of tea
So here's to every Mom, with her own special way,
May Her Star shine bright, each and every day
No one can ever take her place, no one can top her smile
Mother Dear wherever you are, you make our lives worthwhile
For all the many nights you sat with us, 'til we fell asleep
You calmed our many fears, gave us warmth from inside so deep
You were always there for us , no matter what our need
Thank you God for Moms so dear, and all their lovely deeds.
