Mother dear, how many times, I've said this phrase to you
And many times throughout the years, it didn't ring quite true,
You were always there for me, through good times and the bad
You could always cheer me up, at times when I was sad
So on this very lovely day, I'd like to say to you
Mother dear, thank you for loving me so true,
For you are very special to me, with your lovely smile
All the chats and little things, that make my life worthwhile
So mother dear, this little poem, is written just for you
This time the little phrase, will ring out loud and true,
You are my very mother dear and you will always be
In my mind and in my heart, so precious and sweet to me.
