Distant thoughts to remember
Without hopes to realize forever
But making it all worthwhile
Moments cherished without a smile
No annals of loss and gain
Will make those moments mine again
But with the glory of them in mind
Looking up to destiny from behind
Some morbid thoughts just gone by
With hopes of new dawn in my eye
Tell me where do dreams come from?
I'll scour them from fate to come
Reminding memories of moments I grope
Conceiving my fate with glow of hope...

The world has gone into a direction where many have only memories of hope indeed. Through an accident of life we have been born in a place and time where we are still allowed to cherish hopes, but most make a mess of even that, hoping for things without any meaning or purpose. This poem however seems to address matters of a wider scope, where hopes matter and dreams live, attempting to make us all aware that the reality we live in is merely a transient illusion. Thank you for creating and sharing and good luck in the contest. Take care,
