A wonder liquid
found on planet earth alone;
Gives life
Occurs on surface
and crevices of earth crust,
continuously in movement,
Life becomes extinct
when water become extinct.
A plant never suckle nutrient,
Without milking with water,
When water is scarce,
A tree sheds its leaves,
Cries reach the heaven in autumn,
Which never fail to respond,
by sprinkling showers.
No other thing in the world,
adjusts like water,
when put in bottle,
becomes bottle shaped,
maintains harmony,
with surroundings,
Occupies lowest spaces,
unlike us who like to climb.
Water is marvelously made,
Flows in rivers,
Vaporizes in atmosphere,
solidifies in glaciers,
wherever it is,
never got due recognition,
until it is broken,
become scarce and polluted.
Life flow in rivers,
when water flows through it,
River rejuvenates,
Though all pollutants,
find its way to it,
when greed surpassed,
ability of water to renew fail,
graceful river become muddier,
blocking all sunshine,
Living things inside choked,
Our activities never spared,
Even water the ‘elixir of life’

And all so true - life can't exist without water, and people should wake up and realize that - if all our water becomes poluted, so do we - neither of us will survive!

I think this is fantastic Ven. I love the beauty it contains, it was lovely while reading, so lovely I felt fires growing within.
I also happen to love water, so reading this just was a delight.
It's a shame that the condition of the earth is worsening still. Africa, I think, is suffering far worse than most other countries. The water is being poisoned more than most people realise, otherwise, they could be trying to save what is left of their world.

hmm...
it is a great poem. i thought it was strange before i finished...but by the ending it made me think. i can walk to any sink in my house and turn the knob and water will enlessely pour out. so many people go without water simply because their country cant afford to purify it. beautiful poem! -
Your words flow like the water I wish we had...been over 500 days since our dams have had any significant rain and next month we go to level 5 water restrictions what they are who knows as the powers that have yet to inform us. Water is free when you have plenty
without water there is no life or plants ... it affects you in may ways major cracks appear in houses grass well what little there is goes brow nand after awhile you think its ok you get used to it till it rains and the difference you feel inside when you look out a window and see green grass...In the next few days I know of one Nursery closing the doors with many water restrictions garden watering is in my area bucket only and the 'water police' do fine people but somehow my next door neighbour waters whenever ..we have had grassed areas taken up and replaced with paver bricks and fountains long since stopped and some replaced with steel and concrete..water gives life ....Beautifully penned sorry about the rant.thank you for the pleasure of the poem

So true about water....
where I live...it's all catchment (rain) we have been in a drought off and on for nine years....water trucks truck our water in...it is very precious here...all bath, sink and washing machine water gets used on the plants...you don't just turn on the faucet here....we buy our drinking water...

I know we can't survive long without water and neither can our planet. I have a hard time drinking the amount I'm supposed too..this poem made me get up and get a bottle. Thank you

oxygen for all
water especially in arid zones is a panacea for all
growth and prosperity. hence people in those areas welcome rain unlike others who utter rhymes like RAIN RAIN GO AWAY
