This rose I gently hold,
so delicate, so beautiful.
This white rose is for you,
a symbol of my love.
Within the petals of this rose
you will see my heart,
the one you chose.
Has broken into pieces,
when you took your depart,
away from me.
Now I can no longer see,
your smile
I can no longer feel,
your touch.
I can barely feel,
thorns on this rose,
the one I will place here for you.
This white rose, a symbol of my love
It is all I can do, and cry
as I place this part of my heart
here for you, where you now lie.

Again, I really like this poem. It's very sad and touching. I like how it was written, but I have a question. Was the rhyme intentional, or did it just happen? Either way, it adds an interesting feel to this poem. The amount of emotion is very visible throughout this entire piece. The way the whole truth about the person's love is kept back until the end is very effective and helps bring everything together. Great write

Hey, awesome poem you have here! I always read poems about red roses, but this was awesome! I love how you used a white rose here because white is always purity and perfection. This poem has great imagery and choise of words, as well as description. It also had a good flow to it and was a strong piece. Anyways, awesome job with this piece, I really enjoyed being able to read it!

I was drawn in for the rose and the introduction my thought was symbolic of love the rose and the purity of the white in the perfection of a white rose the pure heart The sorrow of a love when the flame has gone yet I feel there is more to this than a love gone bad or me there is a finality of death Beautiuflly penned very touching with a strong imagery fueled with emotion giving another dimension to the power of the words Thank you for the pleasure good luck
