Too tired to want,
Too impatient to love,
Too old to start again,
I’m alone and don’t depend.
In a flurry, a daze,
An unlikely cloudy haze,
World passes me by,
Time goes quickly, it does fly.
Sat in a fresh garden,
Of grass moist with dew
A glass greenhouse of tomatoes,
Misty gaze I can see through.
Sunshine blossoming on sweet flower,
Daisy chains lengthening with each hour.
Smooth sweet summer song,
All day beautiful, never too long.
Children in the distance play,
All pets at home for none are stray,
With families who love and cherish,
An environment of pure bliss.
A wonderful image a warm wish,
A beauty untold a soft gentle kiss,
Begging questions of why not?
This world lives in a peace it hasn’t got.
The strong woody oak tree,
Green leaves wish in the cooling breeze,
Beautiful bird song beckoning brightness
Colourful chicks gaze upwards and confess.
Please tell me what you think

2nd poem
Just when you thought it couldn't get much better...It it did! And I have to agree with Glowstick Hellion, the imagry in your poetry is very strong. And yet it is not my favorate part. Though it does aid it. I think the best bit is the way you use the imagry to build up the poem to a climax around the last stanza.
"Begging questions of why not?
This world lives in a peace it hasn’t got."
And you are quite right in saying that. Not just in application to the world presented in the poem, but hear aswell. Thankyou for finally sharing your works here. And I am truely glad you have!

Beautiful Imagery
Imagery is one of my favorite poetic/literary devices, and you use it so well in this poem. I especially love the fourth stanza! It captures the essence of summer just right. What a piece to start off the warm spring months ahead! I tend to agree with the philosophy that not everyone can be a poet, but you certainly have the gift.
Write on and never quit.
Kindred wishes,
Brit
