Depths of the Broken

Imagination cannot even conceive
the depths of the broken dreams
the intensity of the pain I need relieved.
Each twist and turn in the labyrinth
of my heart represents  trauma induced
by secrecy and dirty ugly lies.

No one has the patience and tolerance
to make it to the labyrinth’s center.
You will not find a core that is hollow.
It is inhabited by the remaining delicate innocence
which is protected at all costs.
The inner child has not perished.

She is free from the allure of tainted love
as she plays and dreams of a love that is pure.
Cleaned from the stains that blotched
her innocence, she is beautiful and radiant.
Only the one who can merge reality
with dreams will be introduced to her loveliness.

Imagination cannot even conceive
the depths of the broken dreams
the intensity of the pain I need relieved.
Each twist and turn in the labyrinth
of my heart represents  trauma induced
by secrecy and dirty ugly lies
and I will not allow the inner me
to be hurt anymore.

This sounds like it came from the depths of your heart, I know the feeling of being at the bottom of the ocean, not being able to breathe, you convey the pain so well, but so gracefully, thankyou for the pleasure

We know our dreams often are closer to the truth than 'reality' in which we have to survive. The reality of the world has been an illusion for a long time - a mass hallucination as the Huna shamen say. Being aware in no way makes life easier than when being ignorant. But the difficulty the aware encounter will one time prove to be worth more than all the trouble they have to deal with put together. A very perceptive and moving poem you wrote. I truly enjoyed being on this page to read and ponder. Thank you for creating and sharing and good luck in the contest. Take care,

    U
