A duel is fought but who will win
The tree is watching from within
As nature's river rushes by
And clouds of fumes pollute the sky
We rush around, places to go
Why waste our time, walking is slow
So as we take the car instead
Are we so very far ahead?
Deep rooted, our survival skills
We have the power to cure all ills
If only we would realise
That nature is a special prize
So who will heal this weeping sore
Place fruit around the apple core
Cut down emissions while we can
Preserve the life of earth and man

A message profoundly offered but inevitably ignored as we go forwards until we smother ourselves and everything else in the search for personal satisfaction greed and power.
