Out My Window

It's five am on a misty summer morning
The birds are just a chirping away,
Right now it's still kind of darkish
Soon the sun will peep out, gonna be one hundred today

Out my kitchen window are three ecru horses
Running, eating, galloping around so very fast,
I love the sound of their rumbling hooves
As the stallions gallop and fly past

My blue morning glories are waving hello
My four'o clock is open, for it's still dark,
The clematis is winking at the zinnia's
And on the birdhouse sits a tiny lark

My purple pansies flirt with the impatients
The hummingbird vine bush, huge as a tall tree,
Hosta's swaying, dancing in the summer breeze
They are all proud to live here with me

I want to come live at your house!  It is so beautiful there and I said see because through this poem's eyes I can see it all. This is the second poem I have encountered today that has actually seemed to read itself to me and while doing so taken me no a trip away to somewhere peaceful. I simply love. This poem smell of the perfume of clean fresh air, clear sky and fresh mowed grass. How sweet it is! The sound I hear a soothing and if I don't stop reading I think I my drift off to a lovely sleep. This is perfection.
