Hand To Heart Harmony

Missing image
If she cried, it would drown out homes, cities, counties ~
it would flood away great beaches, pull sky down
with the excruciating pity in simply one tear.

Oh, daughter who desires only easy life,
I am here, paddling, bucketing, hauling, ~
digging ditches, canals, riverbanks
to hold what life will bring you.

Sisters, I build dams to hold this deluge
of blue and black and liquid green
hear stops, choking on its own wishes
for things to be different ~

It is not easy being woman, tendered
by the tune of a quietened violin
and a bow left dangling at end
of empty arms.  Come, I will place your hand
on my heart, and you will hear hum ~
harmony of a sob, waiting to be held.

wow! that was really beautiful and a touching one. so true too...

I just want to say that it's amazing how people live such parallel lives. An author may think they are just writing an idea they had when, in reality, they are writing the exact story of someone's life. True poets either have a sixth sense or an amazing understanding of life.

You have a really good heart and a good way of touching others with your poetry.
    Good luck in my contest!

Ty sweetangelgrace. You are right about parallel lives ( serendipity) and writers can always expect to find their thoughts penned in diffeent ways by different authors.
