I feel like this all the time way with people. It takes me a while to not seem like an automaton or something around potential friends.
As for the poem, your compassion is definitely prominent in the piece.
It's simple in wording, but I think it works. The rhyme scheme was very strong.
I wish my older stuff was this good. Echt. Once again, good write.
