Love vs. Hate

The burning desire to inflict pain
to make you feel the wound so deep
determined to utterly drive you insane
haunt your dreams while you’re asleep

It’s not my choice, this venom within
I never wanted to feel such hate
I’ve been trough hell again and again
attempting an impossible fate

Hear me when I say this now
I loved you more than you were able
I can’t take back my heart you stole
I should have known you were unstable

Why is it that you never saw
my desire for you in my eyes
I held no secrets, you knew all
but now inside, my cold heart dies

Look what you’ve done
You’ve ripped me apart
and you knew you would
From the very start

I tried so hard to make it work
Even when things failed
but you turned into such a jerk
your true self now unveiled

Leave me now but keep in mind
I took a risk not all would take
You’ll look but you will never find
my love you so chose to forsake

    So sad

You truly captured the essence of heart break with your words. Great job, if sad.

    Very nice!

I love the way you worded it. The she loved and lost... it reminds me alittle of some of my past relationships. It delves right into the heart and soul.
