Have you heard the story
of the eyes that cut through me
like a broken promise
That I'll never believe.
not even inside of me.
It's too hard to see
Because how much he means to me.
and yet, I STILL can't see
the broken glass,
underneath my feet
the driven tears
falling into the ashes of a
long...
forgotten
used and bought
life I once sought
Longing for love...
every smile I've ever seen.
every breath that I'll ever need.
I wonder, have our hearts ever agreed?

and label you, hopeless
because that sums it all up
Everything I ever wished
sealed like a package
with just one kiss
So, I'll staple my heart to a piece of paper
crumble it up and throw it away
before I make you regret another day."
