Why?
Why is such a small word
so complex and bewildering
Why?
Why do we ask why?
Is it because we want to know?
Or is it because we are nosey?
Why?
Children ask why
to learn
Adults ask why
to understand
It doesn't matter why we ask
what matters most is that it shows interest
and the desire to seek information
about someone or something
Why we do it
no-one knows
Why we ask
no-one knows
We just ask
WHY?
Author notes
Why do we write? because we can and because we want to..Good luck all

This a very nice poem it is what most people want to know and the only way we can find out things because we can not read each others mind. like i wish sometimes we could. good write and keep them coming.

Good write. I can't think of any other reasons other than learning and understanding to ask why. If people never asked why about something whether it be the position of the sun or something else, we probably would still be in the dark ages when people believed the world was flat. Very thought provoking write. Best of luck in the contest.

Well said. Said some of these same things in a comment for this contest. I like this, and your author comment as well. Thanks so much for this entry. Good luck. Jeannie
