Blarney Castle, Co. Cork
Blarney Castle, pictured as one of the most famous castles in the world.
You'd lean quite back to veer the onslaught of the parapet
What now remains as an Irish institution, we explore
The most amazing jigsaw piece of architecture yet,
For nearly six hundred years has given it the allure.
As the mystical indulgenge feels the mythical suspense
More visitors accept it, that the labyrinth beneath
Has more than lots of memories so therefore we condense,
By finding something beautiful, a treasure underneath.
To kiss it, so they say, you would be never lost for words
It's now an Irish pleasure as the partial keep remains,
As prestige inlaid Bitterns fly, the past is not deterred,
A time warp is so neccessary, and therefore entertains.
Believed so few could testify, the castle was to tend
Attracting kings and jukes and earls to eagerly encroach
Making this a leading landmark, until corrosions end,
So flocks became the masses and soon they would approach
And sadly there, and held up high with elements as foe,
The place is held together by the love it gives to stone,
We worship what we have by right, a gallant so and so
The Blarney Castle, proud and bold enjoys to be alone.
