My heartbeat sends messages
to the one who knows them well
Sea mist kisses embracing me
I gently brush my cheek
kissing my fingertips to feel them
I have loved you for so long
I cannot remember a time
not having you in my life
I became a woman knowing your love
You becoming a man knowing mine
My eyes eagerly searching
each ship that comes to port
only to be left with pangs of yearning
I know you will return, my love
we are imbedded in each other’s memory
There is no ocean that can keep us apart
Our love is written on the waves
steering you to shore

thought provoking
did the woman recieve her love, or release from hoping. it leaves the reader on edge. personaly i would like to know, I think that it is trying to say that he came back, but I am not sure. a good write. I personaly like ryhme schemes, but to each their own.
