The Two Sides Of Me

I slowly slip into my surroundings,
the silence of a trickling river,
is my only friend,
my only expression of how I feel,
my back against cold sement,
I can smell death in the air,

people don't see the person who I am,
they only see the face I put on,
but you can't all of you see,
theres something deeper inside,
that none of you really see, 

theres two sides of me, 
one side holds the other side in,

you look at me and see the happy man,
that I've pretend to be so many times,
but can't you see it when you look into my eyes,
that theres another person living behind my eyes,
a person that you've never seen before,

there is a dark person that lives inside,
he doesn't come out all to often, 
but when he does that happiest day turns black,
the sunny clouds they slowly fade-away,

can't you feel him all around you, 
you can't look at me when you see him inside,
you know what would happened next,
I'd slowly drift off into a person I never wanted to know, 

the darkness that he holds in,
he takes a hold of me and my soul,
takes my pureness away from me,
I close my eyes and watch my world turn to black,
he takes over me and I can't stop,
there is two sides of me,

the dark side that takes me over too often,
the light-side that tries to fight back,
the angel and the devil,
they both live within me,
