I will not grieve for you in spring
when swallows shuffle gray skies
until there is more blue.
I will not grieve for you in summer
for I will be caught by blossoms
burgeoning with sweet fruit.
I will not grieve for you in autumn
for harvest of bright bouquets
last forever on our kitchen table.
I will not grieve for you in winter
for it is so still, I can hear ancestor’s
welcoming you home.

A wonder write for the quote. It feels as if it belongs with it. I love the repeat line and change of seasons to show it's deepth.
Well done!
Thank you for entering! -
Beautiful!

I love this. It really fits the picture, a bit pouty and emotional but dressed in beautiful phrases to make it anything but an emotional rant, to make it something pretty. I would only suggest that perhaps you make the first bit, about spring, the same format as the others, but I'm sure you have a reason not to do so, and it's fine as-is. Great piece!
