I'm so like her
It's scary really
Cos
I'm not like her
But aren't I really
She tried her best
Did what she could,
She loved me
I understood
It's easier now
She's not responsible
Anymore
Just like me in them days before
Now she's a blessing
The stepford mom
I remember who I am
I remember where I'm from
I love you Mum, I'm grateful
For all you do
I just wish I remembered
My childhood like you.

this is lovely , good luck in the contest and thank you for entering with this very good write

we often say "i will never be like that" but then we realise that is just the way we are and need to be.. they also say that imitation is the nicest form of flattery

Very Good!! Mothers can bring out so many different emotions over the course of their lives. It's good to let them know.."I love you Mum, I'm grateful, For all you do"..while they are still around. Great Write!!
