Promises of Spring

Whispers settle on the wind
and float to lofty places,
the sun comes down to visit
and warms our smiling faces.

The green comes through the leaves
of the full spring-time trees
and settles on the waving grass
as a warm breeze sidles past.

The spring-time winds carry rain
they carry promises of spring,
they wash away the winter's pain
with the promises they bring.

They caress the brightly colored blossoms
with tears, promises, and whispers soft
the love of summer is coming
and taking us aloft.

Please tell me what you think

    Ahhh... Spring!

This is such a lovely write. I really enjoyed reading it...I felt a inhalation of sweet, fresh air from it.

    I loved this part;

    "The spring-time winds carry rain
    they carry promises of spring,
they wash away the winter's pain
    with the promises they bring.",

especially the part about washing "away the winter's pain".

    Thank you for that...Nice!
