I seek forgiveness in these walls
of tattered paper
Heart wrenching cries echoing
through the realms
There is no place to find cover
from the acid rain that burns my skin
Finding myself encircled by vultures
I am not ready to give in
Gnawing at the ground
digging deep into my tomorrows
Opening arms wide to
feed off life’s energy
Survival instincts coming full force
retrieving my resources of entitlement
Knowing what I will no longer accept
I gather all my misfortunes and hurts
molding them into a staircase
that will lead me to my infinite power

wow...true raw, energy felt in this...that is what we do when we write,, forgiveness...what a concept, I always just thought of it as venting, but it is more...thanks for the thought-provoking sentiment you poured out here...Truly insightful, deep, and confident..did not leave me woeful, great sense of empowerment and control...Awesome job!

Inspiring
I really like this piece. It's uplifting. It somewhat reminds me of the way I write. Once again, good work.
