Sitting

I sit here by myself.

I think of you,
I am not lonely.

When you quickly kissed me at the door
You made me yearn for more
Because I know the warmth of your lips
I recall the magic of your fingertips
I imagine you playing with my hair
It makes me wish that you were near
I think of the tenderness in your smile
You move with a manly grace and style
Our lovemaking always felt so right
The memories keep me warm in the cold of night

Thoughts of you.

I am not lonely
    although,
I sit here by myself.

    This leaves one feeling both warm and poignantly thoughful. What lovely sentiment, one can feel the solitude and the un-aloneness as well. Good work, lovely write. Keep it up.

    Greetings and welcome to AP. Liked this photo you have here and the poem that you wrote to accompany it. Even thought someone is not there the thoughts keep you occupied and you are with them. Feels good to post that first poem and tell others you are a poet. Congratulations on doing just that.

    Welcome to allpoetry

    The seat in the picture you have used here seems so right for sitting and thinking beautiful thoughts, I love the heart shapes in the side of the piece of furniture, almost as if the seat is able to bring up loving thoughts into the mind. You have described how your thoughts in relation to your emotions well in this poem, also, you have tied in your final line in so well with your title, well done!
