DropOut

What is a Diploma?
Why all the fuss?
Without it am I in a coma?
Am I dumber for getting of the bus?

Society measures academics
Not being charismatic or unique
Its One of the more overlooked epidemics
I'm not dense or mentally weak

This is societies measuring stick
I for one think it's lame
I know I'm sharp and very quick
Others frown upon me and thats a shame

They won't know me for who I am
Looking down on me and thats just sad
I say to them who gives a damn
I am who I am dropout or grad

Author notes

I in no way condone dropping out, for me it was and still is a long road of hard work and alot of emotional times. I wrote this poem due the overwhelming fact of feeling inferior and I have no reason to feel this way and i don't believe others should either. It's a piece of paper it should not define you as a person.

Please tell me what you think

    Damn

You hit the nail right on the head with this one. Yeah i laugh about 14th in the class, but regardless of where what and how i graduated or if I even did, Im still me, just as smart and just as good. Wonderful job here. I loved this one a lot. You do have skills dear! You liar lol. You are perfect, and no piece of paper can make that different. Keep it flowing

    Always
