for LordoftheRings is still suffering pain
and his strong medication is dulling his brain
so from writing, at present, he's forced to refrain.
Because my buddy Gregg, for this reason's unable
to enter himself and can't sleep in a stable,
by the power and authority vested in me
as your King, I am making this second entry.
It's not for myself but for Gregg I am writing
and I hope I'm no adverse objections inviting.
If any mean varlet or knave should protest
and delete my own NON-ENTRY from this contest,
ah! t'would be a malapert action unkind
which I should not expect from a huguenaut mind.
King Hugh R.
Author notes
Because Gregg, by reason of his treatment and medication, is unable to enter himself in this contest at this time, and because in his extremity he has appealed to the King for clemency, we will not suffer him to sleep in the stables but register this sonnet on his behalf, notwithstanding our former Non-Entry.

I object...because, well, it sounded like a fun thing to do.
I'm sorry Sir Gregg hasn't been feeling well, I see he finally did enter so I'm hoping he is doing better. When all parties are happy and healthy...then I will object on the unfairness of this entry. I shall hide in mt dungeon and wait for the proper moment...for revenge is best served smelling of sewage...I think that is how that saying goes....I can't wait to behave indignantly...I shall cry and whine and carry on like it was the greatest injustice ever done...
I'm tired of typing all the crud...bye.

I see Greg was able to get an entry in after all (yay!) but this was incredibly kind of you to do, just in case he wasn't able.
It is just one more reason why we all love our king ~ you take such good care of us all!
Much love,
~J.

That's very kind of you, Grandpa! I certainly hope Gregg feels better soon!

Hugh -- My Mentor
How can I thank you for this. I have been trying to write something for this contest for three days and will enter what I have no matter the calibre ... it's just my emotions and journey ... no matter how abstract or concrete it is... I have jsut one hour left for this contest ... so here I go!

Dear Babe, what a wonderful soul you are to enter this for Gregg who's lack of strength at the moment has sapped him of his muse. His Bower will be designed for him. I know you will see to his needs, just make sure you have some hunks there for him who will look after him and see to his needs.
Love Hine.

Dear King Hugh,
This was a very nice thing for you to do!
s for Gregg and
s for you!
I hope and pray that Gregg will soon be well enough to once again delight us with his poetry. I'm lighting an online candle in his behalf. If anyone else would like to light a candle for Gregg, here is the link:

Dear St. Maur,
I have lit a large candle for Gregg and when I just checked back it is still burning. Thankyou for that lovely thought. I hope others will visit your link and pray for Gregg with us.
Love and hugs, XXX Hugh R.

A wonderful gesture
Dear Hugh,
I'm so pleased you wrote this for Gregg (lordoftherings)
This way it saves him from sleeping in the stables because he is ill and hasn't the strength to enter one himself.
By entering it your entry was automatically removed, but I've sent an IM to Dee to see if it can be restored back to the contest without losing either poems or your comments on your poem.
Wonderfully written my friend, you are such a generous caring King to think of the welfare of your favourites.
Gregg will love it.I'll send him the link to it.
Love Bea

This is so kind of you, Hugh. I've been thinking of
Gregg a lot and wondering how he's doing.
I doubt if any of us mind you entering for him but geeshe... you could at least fix him up with a fancy bower, maybe one with built in maid service so he can just totally take it easy when he's here.
Seriously, Hugh, it's so thoughtful of you to do this for him
thank you
Dee

The kindness of our king is unlimited, his mercy flows as an eternal river.
Best wishes to Gregg.

Dear Margaret,
The trouble is I have to get up twice during the night to relieve the flow! lol!
