O, song that thrums from fretting
hand polished surface – soothes -
I bend to press of your bow,
billowing a belated sigh
like cherry blossoms lean to listen
to vibrations in wood -
O, song, touch my face
with kiss of harmony.
A slow right-hand caress -
whispers, then sings
heart to heart
out into garden -
soul-rubbing sonatas
tracking peace by pulse -
placing love’s choir
on downy blond hairs
by the merest brush
of breath on skin -
O, palm to pulse at throat
begins holiest hum.
hand polished surface – soothes -
I bend to press of your bow,
billowing a belated sigh
like cherry blossoms lean to listen
to vibrations in wood -
O, song, touch my face
with kiss of harmony.
A slow right-hand caress -
whispers, then sings
heart to heart
out into garden -
soul-rubbing sonatas
tracking peace by pulse -
placing love’s choir
on downy blond hairs
by the merest brush
of breath on skin -
O, palm to pulse at throat
begins holiest hum.

"breath on skin" what beautiful words. May that be the breath of love or our own as we exhale that which lies deepest within our hearts (our own music). A beautiful rendition and I thank you for entering. Best wishes in the contest,
