Spirit Song

Missing image

"The song that I came to sing remains unsung to this day. I have spent my days in stringing and unstringing my instrument"
by : Rabindranath Tagore (India)
1861-1941

I wait for you in silence
for I have no music
Feeling the lyrics
no voice to sing them
I wait still
Far away I hear you
calling to me and
I yearn to answer
Having a song so
beautiful imprisoned
deep in my soul
I wait still
Faintly I hear an orchestration
so magnificent, that the skies blush
With strings attached to my heart
that stir me from within
the depths of my being
I know it’s your promise
to bring to me your
music and lyrics
We soothe each other
with a blending of our Spirit Song
I wait no more

    That is simply beautiful.

You are incredibly gifted. You have such an elegant way with words. I can't wait to read more. It will only help my own work to shine that much brighter. Bravo!

this has such a spiritual feel to it , as if you could be addressing so much , but mostly your deepest inner self yet to remain undiscovered. However you sang a great song with this entry and I thank you. Best wishes in this contest. I can already tell that it will be a tough one to judge,

Your words are finely tuned in this composition..The flow was definitely music to my lips...the flow is exceptional and the significance of love as music and lyrics phenomenal...."the skies blush" what a beautiful phrase evoking all sorts of images...the pic is gorgeous just as much as the words that are so perfect. Good luck!

This is absolutely wonderful. You gave me a burning desire to release the music from my heart. This composition is impeccably penned in regard to structure and flow as it slides off the lips like musical notes. The image you painted in my mind is eloquent and lovely. It is sad yet it gave my spirit an uplifting feeling. This is truly a remarkable piece.

    Love, Amera
