What Will We Do?

If God gave us a mouth, why can’t we speak?
If God gave us legs, why can’t we walk?
If God gave us eyes, why are we blind?
If God gave us ears, why are we deaf?
If God gave us hope, why do we feel we have failed?
If God gave us spirit, why do we feel empty inside?
If God gave us air, why can’t we breathe it?
If God gave us food, why are we starving?
If God gave us peace, why’s there so much war?
If God gave us life, why are we all dying?
If God gave us Jesus, why don’t we believe?
If we give God nothing, he’ll take away everything.
Then what will we do?

So...What do you think?

This poem is wonderful. It asks the questions that provokes thought and self evaluation. Truth lies in every line. The last two lines give a perfect closing to your poem and seals the deal for a wonderful poem. Good luck in the contest! This is a great entry!

A lot of questions unanswered for generations. Hopefully the right answers will one day emerge. Great write. Outspoken and everything. Good luck in the contest.
