The Last Supper (Acrostic)

Missing image
Table set with food and wine
Hymns to sing of love divine
Eating and conversation

Last supper invocation
All disiciples gathered round
Son of Man and twelve were found
Told of one who would betray

Sitting with the Lord that day
Upon the table loaves of bread
Passover drink, wine of red
Partake wine as blood  from me
Eat thy bread as my body
Rejoice I shall return to thee

    Beautiful

Fantastic Sandy, super job I love the last line. I often find myself thinking of what must have been going through Jesus mind as he told of these things to be and knowing the fate it would bring him. Oh the example of faith he displays and the lesson of love he gives. God bless. Awesome write. Truly Enjoyed the message of this fantastic write.

A very nice poem, although I think Judas would have misgivings about being betrayed as the "betrayer" in light of the recent discovery of the book Judas, which establishes him as the closest disciple to Jesus, and in whom Jesus entrusted the task of turning him over to the Roman guards. Other than that, the piece has a nice flow and rhythm to it.

    Bravo!

What a wonderful writing. So filled with truth. Good imagery rhyme and rhythem. I like the picture. When I was a child and growing up my parents had a copy of DeVinci's Last Supper.

        DEAR SANDY

Seeing your beautiful poem about the last supper brings to me thoughts of a recent movie called THE DIVINCI CODE. It brought about some pretty heated arguments but I found it inspirational. I guess I see things differently than most. This is a very beautiful my dear friend and I truly enjoyed it so much.
